Happy Valentines Day everyone. I hope you all have a special day planned out for your significant other.
The other day my wife and I took the dogs on a walk at Ada Hayden Park here in Ames. I guess, I should say, she took them for a walk while I took pictures. Ada Hayden is a several hundred acre park named after, you guessed it, Ada Hayden. She was born in Ames and graduated from Iowa State University with a couple degrees including her doctorate in Philosophy. She was an avid conservationist for prairie land. That is why as you walk through the park you are walking through a massive prairie and wetland preserve. It is a fantastic park to visit in Ames that I don’t visit enough. The design of parks is another passion of mine like photography. I was fortunate to intern back in college with the landscape architecture firm that designed Ada Hayden Park. It was great to be part of a wonderful team to develop other parks like Ada Hayden.

Way to shoot into the sun! Is this a composite of multiple bracketed exposures? That’s the only way I ever have been able to shoot into the sun without it killing the exposure of the overall shot.

Nice back story on the park, Adam. This is quite an image, love the light on that ice. Really makes for an awesome piece of art.
